You just said your outnumbered 2-1, you've been sieged for a prolonged period so your troops are likely slightly malnourished, and the castle you are defending has a bridge that you can't afford to lose because it's a key bridge into your territory. Yet for some reason you stupidly decide to force yourself into a last stand situation you can't afford to lose.
Why tf didn't you just retreat to the other side of the bridge, blow the bridge, and use your archers and catapults (if you have any) to then target the winged dragons from the other side of the river?!
Just like that you would've had a strategic victory over your vastly superior opponent. Sure they'll just build a makeshift bridge of there own, but that'll take time, time you could then utilize to get reinforcements and supplies to prepare for the future battle.
