They completely ignore the fact that Celestia has shown herself to be a motherly authority figure to the ponies and not in any way paranoid. That being said something about this story grabs me. It might be the art style or the fact that it is combines MLP with Waterworld (decent concept but a terrible movie).

MemberI'm aware this is old, but honestly, there's always been a huge undercurrent of Celly being not what she appears. From her constant surveillance of her people, to her constant dicking around with Twi's life to serve her own goals, to much less obvious things, like how she got artifacts from all the races (including Grovers fucking crown), to an Arimpesmi finding its way from the far west of Equestrian territory all the way east to the Griffon lands, then coincidentally dropped down a ravine by lightning, just as Griffons were starting to come together. Not to mention the constant references to previous wars in MLP, from full suits of armor in the old castle, to Dash knowing what a Tank is.
Personally, I find her to be a tyrant to all who aren't ponies. The 'do *anything* for her own people, hang the rest of the world' type.

MemberJust from viewing this page, and the one before it... it doesn't say anywhere that Luna has been killed; it's just implied that she has. I think that, somehow - and Pia might explain it much later on, too - Luna has survived down in the ocean all of this time, and she will eventually come back to bring true balance to this alternate timeline. That's just my opinion, of course - it might not happen - however, it's better to live in hope. ^w^
