MemberIt just feels like a waste of dramatic tension. The fact that Rarity flew into a homicidal rage over a fashion thing instead of the death of an innocent bystander just underlines how much we weren't supposed to care that one of the main characters was possibly dead.
And yeah, I get that thee characters themselves have other priorities and don't know each other well enough to have a huge NO moment yet. But if you want to reverse the perception of your character from Accidental Spy to badass who can casually shrug off bullets, maybe take a bit more time with that revelation than none at all.

MemberI do agree with you that Rarity's Hulk moment was ill-placed in relation to everyone realizing that Spike survived. If the writer had let Spike remain "dead" for a little while longer, I feel that it would have worked out better.
I don't think they're actually going to make him a badass quite yet. Right now, he's more of an action survivor. I'm willing to bet that he's going to be just as surprised that he survived that. Also, I wouldn't say he casually shrugged it off. It did knock him out, and he's clearly still in pain. Casual would be more along the lines of how Superman reacts to bullets. ("Does anyone else feel a draft?")
