As much as I like the girls from Twokinds and Toms Artworks from them, the MC und FMC from the comic are really dumb and useless most of the time.
Flora has no magic or fight capabilities or some wits that is useful and Trace is a walking deus ex machina, when the plot demands it he pulls some magic up his ass from his old templer days to save the day.
The last two pages shows that again.
Yeah Trace has amnesia, but not knowing what a sister ship is, let him be looking stupid for no reason.
And he is right about Flora, she has no soft skills or other crafts, kathrin on the other hand help where she can and get called hussy by flora what is just unfair.
Yeah Kat let she look bad, but its just the reality that flora has no game beside be the Mcs love interesst.

MemberIt should be noted that this has been a major criticism for the story/comic for several years now. Outside of having so many characters, Trace who is the main character, and the literal driving force of the entire plot, has essentially never really been developed or deeply explored, despite the comic having been running for all this time.
You know more about other characters, even characters that showed up much later in the comic, than you know about Trace himself, despite the guy being part of the comic, and face of it since day one. If I was to make a guess, Tom's been so focused on drawing fan service images, or the usual female characters in fan service situations, in and out of the comic, that he's completely neglected Trace as a character. Like Trace and Nora are supposed to have this deep bond and unique relationship, but the relationship has never been deeply delved into.
Which is naturally a really big problem, as he's the main character, and should be one of the most developed characters series at this point. I think the main problem is that there's just to many characters, and Tom's trying to do to many things at once, without there being a clear direction.
To name one big example take a look at what happened to Clovis in the comic. Originally Clovis was just supposed to powered by dragon mana, but then Tom couldn't decide on what to do, and had people on stream vote to have Clovis be in a temporary dragon form, and I want to emphasize it was supposed to be a temporary thing. He was supposed to lose the form when he lost the amulet, Tom said so himself, to where he turned back into normal with a scarred face, but then all of sudden Tom changes it, and Clovis remains in a dragon form, is completely fine, and in many ways got of scot free, the only downside being he's currently small, which Tom has stated isn't permanent, as he can just grow up naturally to became big again, making the who fight with in the manor kind of pointless.

MemberEeeeeh he is and he isn't. I talked about it with my roommate (he's not a literary snob but he won't shut up about every single fucking book he reads or movie he watches, including Twokinds, but he had a point that I kinda agree with)
He has shown moments of development but its so slow paced and arbitrary that it almost feels like it's for plot relevance than actual progress. He's definitely showing progress and sometimes at important times, but it's just so few and far between that this series almost needs an abridged version.
