No less than thirty (30) calendar days before we commence arbitration, we will send you a Notice of Dispute to the email address that you provide to us.

Going to guess either a flipped reference for the controller, or just another case of 'artist decided the image looked better flipped' before adding the background. Personally I'm having trouble finding info on third party left-handed Gamecube controllers, so I'm going to assume it's a mirrorflip.
