Here are the rules for ya soldier !
You first need a random number generator with the lowest and higher numbers set to 1 and 6 respectively, here is one for ya:

Now you need to roll once per important letters that there is in the roulette, so let's say you have Y, and Z, you'll have to roll a random number 2 times (for example I got 1 and 3, the result is Y=1, and Z=3 and I must do the d tasks)

Now that you have rolled all your letters, you can start playing ! and there is no going back ! do what the roulette tells you to do ;3
And if it tells you to reroll, do it and do the d task !

I hope that wasn't too hard to understand, the more roulettes you'll do, the more easy it will get ! Have fun <3

This roulette had to get a rebalancing in difficulty, because it's very luck dependent it might be very very hard, or maybe slightly easy ! I hope lady luck will be smiling for you ~ (old version still available on my patreon)
You might need about 45mn to 1h to complete this roulette, so be aware of it before you start !

  • AmazInky I don't know what you did in the first version, but the overall idea seems fine.
    But I see some problems too.

    In this game, when you get lucky with 10 pictures, you cloud be done in only a few minutes.
    Browsing throw 100 posts is not that difficult.

    I just noticed you probably mean go to the most recent post you should use from that the arrow on top "next ›" but that way you have to count them manually, so you know how much you did.
    One solution would be writing down the Post ID: 01234567 from the start and subtract 100, so you know how much you looked at back from the first post.

    Otherwise, I have in my under "Settings" the number of Posts per page set to 100, so you have there just one page already with all 100 pictures per day.
    but considering you are done on picture 70 and there is a Digimon on the rest it would not count because you are done already, it still depends in which order you look on them.

    I think the 24h stop with the Digimon is a nice idea, but I think it could also mean you could also never be done with this challenge ever.
    I don't have a good statistic on that, but there are a lot of Digimon posts here 42k Digimon to 325k Pokémon total, so there should be probably a 11.5% chance you rather see a Digimon instead of a Pokémon so the more you have to find the more likely it is you get the total reset,
    specially when you have to get 50 pictures of Pokémon and you have to do this probably over 3-10+ days?
    I think you rather encounter here a Digimon than to finish this round and have to restart everything.

    And you don't know what the next round will be, so as I said in a previous roulette there is a slim chance but still existing you will be never done with this or at least it could take weeks or moths to finish.

    Just looking today, there are multiple Digimon post under that 100 Posts sample I took.

    Sure, I bet there are people who like to do such a long term CBT/Chastity game, but I would rather change it a little, so there is not such a big uncertainty in it.
    Maybe increase the number of the Y roll and say you only get to stop for 24h and maybe do a special CBT task when you find a Digimon but keep the number on the taken Pictures instead of redoing everything. This way you will eventually finish it.

    other idea is to say add more pictures to the list by finding a Digimon, but that could be also a problem, and you could be stuck in an endless loop as well.

    I know some people like the thrill of the uncertainty, but I think the total reset kills this a little too because imagine you get to find 50 pictures ok you do the long commitment and know you probably will not finish this today and just find like me on my sample run a Renamon on post 5

    I think this idea with the Digimon would work when they would be not that frequent but in reality there are just too many overall, so you maybe have to restart the game multiple times until you get a fast run you can finish.

    other option maybe reset after you encounter 3 Digimon per Day or 10 in total something like that, still I had in my sample today actually 9 Renamons ...someone was posting a set I guess.

    I didn't test this too much, maybe I am wrong, and you can most time finish a 50 pictures run more often than you have to restart it just depends on too many variables, but my guess still is you probably have to restart long runs rather of finishing them.

    If you do an e621 posts specific roulette again, I would also recommend using a more specific search, so it will not have too one-sided results

    Orders posts randomly that's good, so you get a good variation and always different

    we want the spicy stuff or maybe just exclude the save stuff with -rating:safe, so questionable posts will be there too

    just to be sure, we have no doubles with child post there too

    status:active
    especially when you look at newer posts sometimes there is stuff included that gets later deleted so only useful posts

    other things maybe work too, like to exclude type of video -type:webm

    or maybe you can make a public set of posts for a special roulette, depending on what you do in there.

    In general, I think it would be nice to first create some sort of border for games like this with maybe 5 difficulties you could set in the beginning
    let's say No1 easy type: max duration 1-5 days No2 medium: 1-10 days No3 advanced: 2-15 days No4 hard: 3-20 days extra hard 5-30 days
    I have some ideas how to do that maybe with some sort of modifier, not 100% sure how it works in the end.

    The whole idea is just like in all proper BDSM stuff to set first the rules and boundaries before you commit to it and the uncertainty and thrill can still exist within these boundaries, so again a lot of nonsense from me ...AGAIN!

    Thank you for this in-depth look in this particular roulette !
    Some of the point you said I actually chose to not incorporate on purpose, mostly those around the set up of the game, I chose for the player to go on the post tab and start playing right away to not crowd the picture with too much text and thus pushing the art very low (which I failed haha) that's really all there is to it, there used to be a random button, which I took for granted when starting to conceptualize the roulette, let's just say that when I double checked when I was almost done with it, I had to find a simple replacement if I wanted people to be able to play x3

    But other than that, everything you said actually didn't even occur to me as I was making the roulette ! So thank you for putting the spotlight on those issues, I'll try to avoid them in the future ~
    I plan on making a roulette with different difficulty settings, and different time windows, I'm not a professional game designer so it's quite hard for me to evaluate those beforehand and I'm the only playtester of these for the time being so it's quite a hastle for me, but I'm always up for a challenge, so you can expect to see me do that one day :D
