This render idea just came into my mind this morning.

For context, a month ago, I discovered something with the armature modifier in Blender called "preserve volume" which avoid bones being badly bent or twisted. If weighted correctly, you can make the butt more round but also look bigger than it is (especially from the profile view). Somehow, it doesn't change much for characters that already have a big butt, so no fatter bottom unfortunatly.
