Ugh this arc made me stop reading the comic. Housepets isn’t what it used to be anymore.

I think the comic's the best it's ever been

What killed the enjoyment of the comic for me is that Rick doesn't know how to write a proper story. He wants to simply write animals doing silly things. That would be fine if he didn't try to make serious story arcs as well. He forces stupid unfunny gags in every freaking strip even when he's dealing with serious topics.

Heck even the latest arc about the puma and the wolves was such a colossal let down I rage quit from it.

That and a lot of his Arcs go nowhere. Like the while giant story with King and Pete taking his wife. It was like building up for this giant climax but in the end Rick basically forced the ending

I comepltelt agree. I think that the base of the comic should just be about Housepets and their silly shenenagains. These serious arcs are just really bad and poorly written that lead to and are for nothing. I left the comic when the whole thing with King/Joel happened but I came back and no I’m not enjoying it as much.

It is the last arc and the author said that he did not care about the criticism, he would write the script as he wants to tell the story and I that, otherwise it would be fanservice

Housepets! tells the story of animals doing silly things, the first page of his book 1 called When Boredom Strikes

It is a family friendly comic, it is true that the themes of some arcs are somewhat bizarre if you treat them that way, but the author has to limit himself to writing it that way
