    Yeah, As much as I love the books, Paolini is a COWARD to weave nothing sexual into thier relationsihp.

    The simple fact is Eragon and Saphira did Not saw eachother as sexual partners.

    Mainly because they had other outlets.
    Eragon had eyes for Arya.
    And Saphira was consumed by the fact she's the last know female, thus needing a male Dragon to continue the species (which the situation with Glaeder is a perfect display of)

    add to that, that they consciously or not, shared the emotions tied to those thoughts and feelings

    This made them both just not at all consider eachother as sexual partners.

    That is, until they left everyone behind and went towards the east.
    At which point they likely would start sharing their desires by not just sharing experiance and desire for someone outside of themselves, but eachother.
    But the books end before that.
