MemberWithout a doubt. She's not just the older sibling, she's clearly the more responsible/put-together of the two of them. If it wasn't what she wanted, she'd have, at BEST, turned around and put the fear of Blackkitten in him. The fact that she almost immediately started to encourage him to continue is all the proof I'd need. Being fair, that's with me KNOWING what's going to happen, and how her character develops. For a first-time reader, it might seem out of place or 'porny'. Honestly, it adds a nice bit of flavor in a re-read.

MemberI like how as the plot developed, you really got a sense of how their lives had been for the last few years. Serah's got quite a strong personality but you quickly realise why. Without their mother, Serah had to grow up fast and basically be the responsible adult for both her slightly naive brother and their functional alcoholic father. She's the one who does all the cooking and probably keeps some semblance of order in the house.
You're right that with the benefit of hindsight, Serah playing along is VERY telling. She tears pieces off him in the closet when she thinks Seb's just using her to get off. And she's confident enough in Thursday to shut Seb's backdoor idea down. If anything, most of the sex scenes from midway through the series are heavily initiated by Serah. And she's the one who encourages and even gives Seb permission to go all the way.
I feel like I vaguely Black Kitten commenting either here or on another platform a bit of lore suggesting this wasn't Serah's first time but stopping short of confirming or denying if this was Seb's first time.
Would make sense. Serah seems pretty self-assured whereas Seb seems like he's kinda fumbling his way through his first relationship. The most insight we really get in-world is Toby saying Seb's had a thing for that Kate chick for ages.
That'd be a cool bit of lore to get confirmation on. We know at some point Seb started wanting his sister and in all likelihood she started wanting him too. The when/why/how is mostly unknown. In Seb's case at least it's kinda implied Serah's very comfortable with casually walking around half naked in front of him but it makes you wonder what, if anything, caught Serah's eye

MemberWhen I say that, I mean as far as their mentalities. Someone in the same situation could behave like the 'older' sibling, but also be a total jerk. I might not have differentiated the concepts too clearly in my post there, but yes, I'm aware they're only separated by a few minutes. But hey, 50/50 she came out those couple minutes earlier than he did! Though of course without BK's confirmation, that's speculative.
