"The afternoon sun still bathed the village in warm light as the traveler made his way down its main street. Around him, houses with whitewashed walls and timber-framed upper floors crowded along the cobblestone road, which remained lively despite the late hour. A merchant was slowly packing up his stall, two children ran between the carts, and farther away, the steady hammering of a blacksmith echoed beneath his awning.

The man walked at an unhurried pace. His leather armor bore the dust of the road and the marks of several days of travel. His face, meanwhile, remained completely concealed behind an ancient Dragon Priest mask from the distant land of Skyrim. Its frozen, severe features drew a few wary glances, but no one seemed curious enough to approach him.

A short, well-worn but carefully maintained weapon hung from his belt. On the other side, a heavy pouch filled with gold coins tapped softly against his hip with every step. He had been walking since dawn and wanted nothing more than a hot meal, a tankard of ale, and a room for the night.
The village seemed prosperous enough to provide all three. The smell of freshly baked bread drifted from a nearby bakery, while voices and laughter spilled from a larger building farther down the street, standing on a corner. A wooden sign swayed above its door, bearing what appeared to be a four-leaf clover painted in white.

The inn already seemed crowded, despite its façade looking more weathered upon closer inspection. The traveler stopped for a moment to study the place. His pouch of gold jingled against his belt as he rested a hand upon it. With that much money, he thought, surely they would be able to find him a room.

He adjusted his gear, turned his masked face toward the inn’s sign, and made his way to the door."
