MemberHe left because that was the original plan. To steal money from the Treasury, power up with evolution, and then run off with sable on a quest for maelstrom. But he got into a fight with sable and she ran off back home and he panicked and did whatever he still could do as part of the plan. Going back would mean facing his friend, the consequences of his theft and disappearance, and his family. He was always going to leave. He was just too scared to go back.
